FAQ

Why do I need a garden designer?
A garden design will usually pay for itself in the savings made. The landscaping will be priced according to exact areas and with the chosen materials.
Without a design drawn to scale the cost of landscaping is at best a calculated guess and the finished garden may not be the one you had in mind.
Our garden designer will create a unique design that works for you and your budget.
Is a designed garden a good investment?
A garden that is built to last, matures well and doesn't date will add value to your property.
It is also a good investment for the amount of time you will want to spend in your new garden and the pleasure you will get from it.
There are so many ways of designing even a small space and such a variety of styles that you will get so much more from your garden.
Do I need to decide on my budget now?
It's worth doing a garden well so it adds value to your property. Many people decide to have their ideal garden designed  and adjust later if necessary. If you know your budget and need us to design around that then let us know at the beginning so we know not to let our imagination carry us away.
Do I need a planting design?
Every planting scheme is unique. Town gardens often  have difficult growing conditions that vary around the garden. It takes a lot of experience to choose plants to suit the exact growing conditions so the plants thrive. Plants are expensive to replace if not well chosen.
The planting is what really makes a garden come to life so we think it's worth spending time to get a planting scheme that looks stunning.
Can I afford a garden designer?
Unless you already know exactly what you want, how you want it built and you have time to make sure the work is done properly you could save money by hiring a garden designer. A garden design can avoid expensive mistakes as it can cost more to make alterations than building it in the first place.
You are also unlikely to imagine the real scope for change that a garden design can bring.
Do landscapers design gardens?
Landscapers are trained to design invididual features but few are trained to design a whole garden.
We work with trusted landscapers we have worked with for many years. We make sure that any decisions on the landscaping are done in your best interest and not just the way the landscaper prefers to do it.
